Microsoft is currently facing a major problem regarding its online gaming service Xbox Live. ninthXbox Status Site shows that the outage first started a few hours ago around 2:07 PM Eastern Time. The message reads:

You may not be able to sign in to your Xbox profile, you may be logged out while logged in, or you may have other related issues. Features that require login such as most games, apps and social activity will not be available.

The latest update to the status page on the outage was posted at 5:08 p.m. ET, the message in the post simply says, “We encountered a related issue.” No word on what this “related issue” is nor is there any word on when this whole Xbox Live outage thing might be resolved.

Microsoft Xbox support An account on X also posted an update, and said that the company’s efforts to check this problem “are taking longer than expected”. Again, there is no detail as to what is causing the problem.
