The companions to Baldurs Gate 3 were apparently launched with a bug that made them way hornier than they were supposed to be. Sadly, this glitch was now corrected.

One of the most exciting aspects of BG3 is the romance. It’s because our actions and story choices influence our approval ratings with our companions and let it be interesting to know if we can get married in close contact. The players love BG3 so much they start to run the romance.

Unfortunately, BG3 romancing isn’t really the same.

Swen Vincke, the BG3 director and big boss of Larian Studios, told TheGamer this week that the companions were far hornier than they were supposed to be due to a bug.

It was never intentionally a larians original intention for players to romance their BG3 friends so quickly, but this is because their approval ratings were low. Now that the bug has been fixed, it will take a bit more time to love our companions, which will make them look less thirsty than they used to be.

Apparently all this happened because of Larian desire to simulate real relationships where you were to woo your partner before jumping into the ball. I’m not sure how an unnamed bear sex scene looks resembles real-life romance.

Since this bug is corrective, that’s the most of the time. Now there is a romantic style more conservative, which is a little surprising, since many of the companions are polyamorous.

Even though the bug has been quashed, don’t let the bugs stop you from being Romancing your companions, because they still believe they are the oasis of their deserts so they will certainly take a little longer to get there.
