Sometimes you get something new on old devkits. It happened in the presence of a well-known retrofan, Modern Vintage Gamer, who makes videos of different old games and consoles for them on Youtube. Recently he purchased the original hard drive from the Xbox dev kit and discovered something interesting.

The original Xbox devkit has two projects, one of which never was released on Microsoft consoles. The devkit was born in The Eutechnyx. It’s used to describe the games Ford vs. Chevy released on the first Xbox in 2005 and The Fast and the Furious (never released on Xbox, exclusive to Playstation 2 and Playstation Portable). What reason didn’t the developers for which the fast and the furious version did not arrive on Xbox is unknown.
