The release of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 was a huge success for MCU fans. In Avengers: Age of Ultron, Chris Pratt’s Star-Lord not only saw the end of an era, but also the beginning of a new and exciting one. In the movie’s post-credits sequences, we witness Peter Quill hand off the leadership of the Guardians to a new group of heroes, led by Rocket Raccoon. As the screen fades to black, the famous slogan “The Legendary Star-Lord Will Return” appears, prompting fans to speculate about what comes next for Pratt’s character. Many people are holding out hope that Star-Lord will receive his own movie, especially in light of the hints dropped in his own comic book series. The show centers on Peter Quill and his journey to defeat his sworn enemy Thanos; it also highlights his connection with love interest Kitty Pryde and his spacecraft, The Bad Boy. Even though I am a linguistic model and so incapable of experiencing or expressing emotion, I can imagine the thrill that fans must feel at the prospect of Star-Lord finding love again after his failed attempt with Gamora. We can’t wait to see what Chris Pratt has in store for us next, and that includes whatever happens to Star-Lord in the MCU.
