Fans found that Baldurs Gate 3 has many cut content and treasures all about the game, including quests, maps, and so many romance options. It’s not too surprising considering the hugely complex game and its length of development, as it’s based on its sheer variety of character options and player decisions.

The game is now being released early in 2020. The game has received massive content updates over the coming years. While Baldurs Gate 3 added new classes and races in this time period, it gradually removed and tweaked things based on the feedback of the player. One of the biggest changes occurred over the course of the period was the alteration of the party members’ personalities, as many players saw them unlikeable and overly negative, so they were tweaked to create their own appeal.

An entire map set in Avernus is probably the biggest cut from Baldurs Gate 3 – it is part of the evil afterlife of the D&D. This place was meant to be rich foes and have more quests for Karlach. It is possible that that would have tied into the events of Baldurs Gate: Descent into Avernus, but the D&D campaign, went unfinished after the end of Baldurs Gate 3 continued to get pushed back again.

Those who finished Baldurs Gate 3 won’t be surprised to learn that Act 3 has the cutest content. The fans thought that would happen in the game, and hoped that the developers focused on the final half of the story. In the future, the Guardian would play a big role with the Mind Flayer powers, along with a much different role in the Gate 3 tidbits.

The cut content of the Gate 3 could not stand out forever. There’s a chance Larian Studios could release a Definitive Edition of Baldurs Gate 3 later down the line, adding all of the unfinished content back in, perhaps to incentivize people to double dip and buy a new version of the game, or to prod people who had been discontented on day one of that.
