It’s new malware, which can severely affect Minecraft players and cause a headache to the server’s administrators. In the case of Minecraft Malware Prevention Alliance (MMPA), users have noticed that a faulty patch affects quite a lot of Minecraft servers, causing some popular mods of the popular and the gang of hackers hoping to exploit the gaming machine.

This vulnerability is well known in the Java community. This has been fixed before in other mods. According to the MMPA blog post, this isn’t a new thing. There is a reason that there’s not something such as this in the Minecraft community.
One computer scientists researcher known as Dogboy21 on GitHub, spotted 36 mods prone to the Bleeding Pipe exploit. They warn that in the moment it is completely dangerous to play a game with unpatched mods. Every attack already attempted, and in some cases succeeded, Microsoft access token and browser session steals. They cannot execute anything they want on a target system, so there’s no way to avoid that.

The exploit uses a frenzied ra-de-serialization/gadget chain that is able to exploit the use of Java serialization / in network packets that are sent to clients by servers. Aside from Dogboy21 and other developers, there is work to give a fixed on that issue by GitHub.
The Mods of EnderCore, AetherCraft mode, LogisticsPipes, Immersive Armors, and ttCore are just a few of the ones affected. The Git-page warns users of not doing this list.
After all the years, Minecraft remains an popular game. Hackers attempt to exploit these games, since they can easily access millions of players’ data. Hopefully, the fix won’t take much longer, and players can enjoy their experience as they desire.
