Fans of Tim Burton’s classic Beetlejuice have been eagerly awaiting news of the upcoming sequel, and they can now get even more excited with the latest casting announcement. Monica Bellucci, the talented Italian actress known for her roles in films like The Matrix Reloaded and Spectre, is in talks to play Beetlejuice’s wife in the sequel.

It’s not just Bellucci who will be joining the cast; Catherine O’Hara is set to reprise her role as Della Deetz, and Jenna Ortega, Winona Ryder, and Michael Keaton are already on board. With such a star-studded cast, expectations for the sequel are high.

Bellucci had a great year in 2022, starring alongside Liam Neeson in the Martin Campbell-directed thriller Memory. And in 2023, she teamed up with Toni Collette for Mafia Mamma, directed by Twilight’s Catherine Hardwicke.

Beetlejuice 2 is slated to hit theaters on September 6, 2024, and fans can hardly wait to see what Tim Burton has in store for them this time around.
