Blizzard will not hold its BlizzCon fan event in 2024 but will return in the future

Blizzard Entertainment is taking a break from running its popular fan event BlizzCon. Today, the game developer announced that BlizzCon will not take place during 2024.

This decision was not made lightly as BlizzCon remains a very special event for all of us, and we know many of you are looking forward to it. Although we’re approaching this year differently and having explored different event formats in the past, rest assured that we’re as excited as ever to bring BlizzCon back in the years to come.

Blizzard has finally brought back BlizzCon as a live, in-person event at Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, CA in November 2023. This was the first in-person BlizzCon since 2019, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. Blizzard did hold a virtual BlizzCon event in 2021.
