For Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, Treyarch had, apparently, planned a vast open world. The leaked images have now been released.
Treyarch apparently worked on an open world for call of duty: Black Ops 3 – which was scrapped after about a year of development.
In a Kotaku report by Jason Schreier in 2019, one could tell that Treyarch was working on a large world before development restarted in the middle of the year. In the end, the players received a normal Call of Duty campaign that was uninvited due to an open world.
Reddit user u/Purpletoaster has now published numerous screenshots from this development phase on imgur. With this, you can imagine that Black Ops 3 had a huge and endless adventure.
Early images of Black Ops 3s cancelled the open world campaign (2013).
The contents of the images are disclosed.
Multiple large maps with landmarks Multiple minimodes including defense, assassination and salvage Day/night and weather cycles would have existed Economics and construction mechanics.
Don’t all the assets were put in a bin with plans. A part of the content was used in the call of Duty: Black Ops linear campaign. The idea of a vast world has also not died, as it is demonstrated by the misement of the Battle Royale character Blackout in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.
