The showrunner of the acclaimed HBO series The Last of Us announced 4 seasons and talked about the procedure of selecting an actress for Abby.

Craig Mazin talks to The Hollywood Reporter about the shows future plans, including whether HBO has secured a good budget for the sequel given the show’s success and scope.

Even though we have a principled debate regarding the premise of creating a second season, a third, a fourth, I always know they work in good faith and appreciate the creative value of the show, says Mazin.

After responding to this response, the director was asked if the show had that many seasons.

I think you may have three or five. But there is no such a big number as those of four. Some seasons will require less episodes because we are telling and some will require more, he responded.
