Onoma, the developer formerly known as Square Enix Montreal, is shutting down several of its mobile titles, including deus ex go Y Hitman Sniper: Shadows. These and other titles developed and maintained by Onoma will be inaccessible after January 4, 2023. [Thanks, Engadget!]

The announcement confirms that Onoma will close out at least four games. These games are:
- deus ex go
- Hitman Sniper: Shadows
- Space Invaders: Hidden Heroes
- arena battle champions
Starting December 1, 2022, the games will be removed from the App Store and Google Play Store. After that, only players with the games already installed will be able to play them. The games themselves will be inaccessible after January 4, 2023. All in-game purchases stopped on November 23, 2022. Onoma advised players to use previous purchases as they will not be issuing refunds.
The news of Onoma shutting down the games comes shortly after a story broke that Embracer Group intends to shut down the studio entirely. Embracer purchased Square Enix Montreal in May 2022 along with several other former Square Enix studios such as Crystal Dynamics and Eidos Montreal.
Aside from the games that he is shutting down, Onoma also developed titles like hitman go, Y Lara Croft Wow. deus ex go was notable for its effects tied to Eidos Montreal Deus Ex: Humanity Divided. Players who completed the base game of deus ex go received updates to the “Praxis Kit” to use in divided humanity. It is not known if the players of divided humanity will have a way to access those goodies afterwards deus ex go turns off.
