Famitsu has published its estimated game software and hardware sales data for Japan in the week from December 12, 2022 to December 18, 2022.

Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet for Switch remain the highest selling games of the week, moving 260,784 more copies to retail stores.

Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII Reunion was the most anticipated new release of the week, with 54.522 units on PlayStation 5, 53.521 units on PlayStation 4, 4 and 57.2 units on Switch for an opening week total of 156.530 retail copies sold.

On the hardware, the Switch family sold 193 083 units, the PlayStation 5 family sold 70 496 units, the PlayStation 4 family sold 3,161 units, and the Xbox Series sold 910 units. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles are facing stock problems.
