The Radeon RX 7800 XT is 2.5 times faster than the GeForce RTX 4070 in raster graphics games, TechPowerUp reports. Toms Hardware, in turn, has noted that the GeForce RTX 4070 (raster graphics + ray tracing) was 5% higher in 4K resolution than the new product.

In terms of energy efficiency, the RX 7800 XT, which is a win-win for the Radeon RX, is inferior to its competitors. On the other hand, it consumes 50 W less than the previous generation RX 6800 XT. Even if AMD isn’t as efficient as NVIDIA, its new product is also less expensive. Toms Hardware estimates the cost of a virtual machine computer (SX) 7800 (maximum) power at the top of the game by 1080p was 235 W, and at 1440p and 4K at 250 W. The TechPowerUp portal cooled its graphics processor to 75 degrees Celsius, improving the performance of the Radeon RX 7800 XT video card. At the hottest point of the accelerator, the temperature remained 92 degrees Celsius. In games at 1440p and 4K resolution, Toms Hardware upgraded its card to 71 degrees on the GPU. The TechPowerUp review notes that GeForce RTX 4070, at 600 dollars, is 22% slower in raster graphs, but 20% higher if compared to 500 RX 7800. Even so, the NVIDIA card is 16 % faster at ray tracing, has 4GB of video memory and consumes 50W less power. Overall, reviewers concluded that the RX 7800 XT is a good choice for those who don’t want to overpay for ray tracing, but still want a graphics card for 1440p gaming. This system surpasses GeForce’s more expensive RTX 4070 when using regular (raster) graphics.
