Several leaks about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 have appeared online, revealing the alleged camera specs, battery size, chip strategy, and even the different color options the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be launched in.

Now some new leaks have surfaced by a reliable tipster IceUniverse in X (formerly Twitter) showing the alleged screen protector for the external display of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6. And from the looks of it, the external display on the Galaxy Z Fold 6 looks a bit wider compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

Talking about the design that Samsung came up with in the Galaxy Z Fold 5, many liked the narrow and tall outer display, however, many wanted it to be a bit wider. The tall, narrow display seems to be disappearing now with the premium foldable, at least looking at the allegedly leaked images of the Galaxy Z Fold 6’s external display.

It should be noted that the external display on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 boasts a 23:9 aspect ratio, which makes daily tasks and app operation a bit cumbersome with its tall display. Now, according to tipster IceUniverse, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 external display screen protector features a wider external display, measuring roughly 60.2mm compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 5’s 57.4mm display.

Another design change you’ll notice in the leaked images is that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 now follows the design language of the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The screen protectors feature sharper corners, hinting at the departure of the soft rounded corners found on the Galaxy Z Fold 5.

A marginal change some would say. Samsung needs to include a better camera system because the previous generation foldables, despite coming with a premium price tag, did not have a good camera system. Although there is less hope with the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6, and the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE, all hopes for a better camera are now on the rumors Galaxy Z Fold 6 ‘Ultra’ model.
