Google Pixel 9 appears pink again, this time with its screen on

Google has confirmed that its next flagship smartphone series, the Pixel 9 series, is set for a grand debut at the upcoming Pixel hardware event on August 13. The launch of the Pixel 9 series will take place two months earlier than its predecessor, the Pixel 8 series.

Earlier, a leak appeared on the internet which seems to suggest that the Google Pixel 9 is already available for sale unofficially in Algeria. The leak showed a hands-on video of the upcoming alleged Google Pixel 9 in hot pink. However, the screen didn’t turn on, and we couldn’t get a glimpse of the software on the phone.

However, it didn’t take long for another hands-on video to appear online, this time showing the Google Pixel 9 in pink, but when his monitor is on. The leaked video shows the front of the Pixel 9 with a symmetrical bezel, confirming a previous design leak.

The video shows the phone rocking a new wallpaper, and we get a glimpse of Google Home’s settings menu. Unfortunately, we don’t see much in the video other than the person accidentally opening the Gmail app, which gives us a glimpse of the opening animation.

The alleged Pixel 9 teaser video also shows the back of the phone. It houses the rounded-rectangular dual camera module. The back of the phone has a glossy back. The Pro models are expected to include a matte back and a triple camera setup.

The Pixel 9’s frame, as seen in the leaked video, appears to be square, similar to recent iPhones. The corners of the device are curved, which should make it comfortable to hold. Recently, a report suggested that the Google Pixel 9 series will feature Samsung’s OLED M14 display, which is better than the display found in the Galaxy S24 series. Moreover, it will be the same display that Apple has chosen for its iPhone 16 Pro models.
