In December 2022, indie developer Supergiant Games officially announced that it was working on it Hades II, the sequel to her acclaimed dungeon crawler. At the time, the developer stated that it plans to launch the game as an Early Access title by the end of 2023.

Supergiant Games said:
We can now confirm that we plan to have Hades II launch in Early Access in the second quarter of 2024 on Steam and the Epic Games Store. We’ll have more details on the exact date, pricing and system requirements closer to that date.
The development update added that the team wanted to make sure that the early access version of the Hades II It had “less much content” like the first game in the series when it was also launched as an Early Access title.
After launching the game in Early Access, the team says it plans to update the game several times with additional content. The end result will be Hades II Version 1.0, which will include the entire plot and content of the game. No word on how long it will take for the game to get to that point.
Supergiant Games also revealed that sometime before the Early Access launch, it will release what it labeled a technical test for Hades II, Also during the second quarter of 2024. It says:
The purpose of this testing will be to find and fix technical or compatibility issues that we may have missed, to ensure that everyone trying out Hades II in Early Access can have a smooth gaming experience.
The technical test will not include as much content as the early access version of Hades II. Also, the developer plans to limit the number of gamers who will participate in the test version.
