Silent Hill: The Short Message was first recognized for unspecificated platforms by the Korean Game Rating and Administration Committee in September.

Silent Hill publisher Konami held a digital event in October that took place during Silent Hill Transmission in New York City, where it announced several new Silent Hill projects, including a remake of Silent Hill 2, Silent Hill: Ascension, Silent Hill: Townfall, and Silent Hill f. The series Silent Hill: The Short Message hasn’t been announced yet.
