To change your CoD name by MW2, you must:

Start playing the MW2.

Set your settings in the main menu.

Go with your mouse or analog sticks to the cog wheel.

Head to Account & Network.

From here, go to Activision’s.

This should come up with a new window where you can put your current name in.

Click on the change of an image and enter his new name.

If you can confirm the change of name, you need to have a token for a name change. These renew every six months and you can have up to two more at a time.

You may change your name as often as possible if a token has been able to be exchanged.

How to Change your CoD Username on the Internet.

Similarly, if you’re not near your console and want to change your name, you can do that on the Call of Duty website.

Open the Call of Duty website and sign up to your Activision Account.

Look out the left hand corner for your username and click on it.

From the menu you can check out the basics.

Find Edit next to your Activision ID, and click on it.

Enter your personal name.

Click Save to apply the changes.
