Elia Alessandrini, a Swiss 25-year-old footballer, died aged 25.

The Stade Lausanne Ouchy player went on vacation with his girlfriend in Oman. Elia died while swimming in the pool.

According to a study released in 2013 it is unlikely that Alessandrinis died from heart failure.

Young Boys graduate volunteered for Lausanne-Ouchy this summer. Elias was Kriens in the previous club, for which he had 57 appearances and was captain.
