The premiere of “Wednesday” on November 23rd. A little more than a month later, it’s now part of the rare company of Netflix shows where the stream, or the streaming, be watched for more than one billion hours in one month of its launch.

Netflix’s Wednesday could be announced for a second season here anytime.

Netflix has become a new standard for its most popular shows in the past two years. Squid Game founded the fictional billion-hours club, pushed Bridgerton’s previous record-holder, from the top spot. Squid Game’s record of 1.65 billion hours in 28 days probably won’t be broken. The fourth installment of Stranger Things premiered earlier this year and went on to post 1,15 billion hours in the same time period (or 1.3 billion hours in two months).

This is the show that, with more than one thousand hours on Wednesday in three weeks, is 1,02 billion o’clock in three weeks, which makes it one of Netflix’s biggest ever.

The musical tribute shows young adults like a musical opportunity, which in turn inspired the new dance trend and led to the popularity of The Cramps ‘Goo Goo Muck’ among others.

In all honesty, this is a superb achievement for Netflix, after losing millions of subscribers a few quarters ago. Things are getting better for Netflix. The popularity of projects like Wednesday and Dahmer, the now-didliest English series on the platform, helps you to restrain Netflix from losing control.

Netflix’s Wednesday would be the top spot for Stranger Things.

The only thing missing on Netflix now is a guaranteed order for another season. We hope that another spin-off is also on the table. That’s why for Fred Armisen’s Uncle Fester deserves far more screentime, as long as we can see Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday little bit more.

We’re a mere optimistic that Netflix won’t take Wednesday to continue releasing reboots of iconic franchises until something sticks. Squid Game and Stranger Things prove that quality original shows are still the way to go.
