The Microsoft Xbox Tokyo Game Show (YouTube link) digital presentation has come to an end, and one of the biggest announcements was from Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio (RGG). The creators behind the same as dragon franchise, which many fans may simply remember as yakuzaappeared on the stream to announce that two spin-offs are coming to Xbox Game Pass.
RGG studio director Masayoshi Yokoyama revealed ‘Like a Dragon: Isshin’ and “Like Gaiden Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name” Coming soon to Microsoft subscription services.
Released in February 2023, Like a Dragon : Isshin is a remake of the 2014 title Ryū ga Gotoku Ishin, an action-adventure entry with a historical samurai setting. Serving as a spin-off to the main franchise, its remake brought the fan-favorite title to audiences across PC, Xbox and PlayStation worldwide unlike the original, which was exclusive to PlayStation and Japan.
The Samurai Epic is coming to both Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass before the end of 2023.
Meanwhile, Like Gaiden Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name Coming in later this year as another spin-off, but it’s important for those looking to jump into the upcoming main entry of 2024 – Like a dragon: infinite wealth.
Players will once again take on the role of the original protagonist Kazuma Kiryu Gayden. The title covers events that occur in between Yakuza 6: The Song of Life And the Like a dragon: infinite wealth, focusing on Kiryu’s perspective to reveal how he is returning to the series soon alongside Ichiban Kasuga. Once a legendary yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu faked his own death and abandoned his name to protect his family. Now, he is confronted by a mysterious figure who tries to drive him out of hiding. Codenamed “Joryu”, Kryo embarks on an engaging action narrative with bone-crushing combat in vibrant locations full of exciting characters and activities.

The Xbox Tokyo Game Show also confirmed the release of Game Pass for the original Phoenix Wright: The Ace Attorney Trilogy, Aiyodan Chronicle: One Hundred Heroes, Minko Night Marketas also announced earlier Persona 3 reloaded and Persona 5 tactics.
