Marvel Season 2 Updates original moviemaking schedule

Published on

According to the recent report from Murphys Multiverse, Disneys Ms. Marvel series on Disney+ was originally scheduled to include multiple seasons from the start, which would have been filmed almost simultaneously.

The report notes that at the time of casting for the series, Disney hoped to have those who played Kamala Khan to film the first season of the show, star in the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels, and then quickly film Season 2 of Ms. Marvel later. Although Iman Vellani, who stars in the series as Khan, has been in the end of the series, there’s no indication that a second season is going to be filmed now.

Disney hasn’t yet announced the date or timing for the second season of Ms. Marvel. As for the first season, both cast and crew said that a second might be coming. Even though there’s not a third season, Disneys plans haven’t come to fruition, Vellani having worked on the first and last season, before the Marvels team finally got to work on the first one.

In the report, I read that Vellani has no choice but to work on both of the two projects, with the hope that she can play a role in the next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This is probably due to her connection to the multiverse, a concept that the MCU will investigate and review its upcoming slate of films and television content.

The Marvels will return Brie Larson to play Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, whom fans last saw inMs. Supernatural movie in the postcrediting scene. In the sequel’s sequel, Larson will join the Walt Disney film Star, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, and Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan/Ms.
