Details of the upcoming season of Marvel Snap have just been announced, and it’s a great weapon. The star of The Power Cosmic is The Silver Surfer, a 3/0 that gives your other three cost cards +3 power. The season begins on December 6.

First and foremost is the news about collector tokens. These had been previously announced in the game’s roadmap, but now we know exactly how they will work. Starting at collection level 500, you will earn tokens that can be used to purchase cards that will rotate every eight hours in the shop. These are personalized for you, so it will always be a Pool 3+ card that you don’t have. You can even pin them so you can save and shop later. We asked for a new way to unlock cards and the developers delivered.

Next up is news of the new Card Pools, or Series, as the developer calls them. There are ten cards in Group 4, but you can start unlocking them as soon as Group 3 is unlocked, you don’t need to finish Group 3 first. Phew. The same goes for Group 5, which has six new cards.

The new cards are:

pool 4

  • Luke Cage – 1/2, Ongoing: Cannot reduce the power of your cards
  • Absorbing Man – 4/3, On Reveal: If the last card you played has an On Reveal ability, this card copies it
  • She-Hulk – 6/10, costs 1 less for each unspent energy last turn
  • Titania – 1/4, when any card is played at this location, this card changes sides
  • Maria Hill – 2/3, When Revealed: Add a random 1-cost card to your hand
  • Agent Coulson – 3/4, when revealed: Add a random 4 and 5 cost card to your hand
  • Hellicarrier – 6/10 – When you discard this from your hand, add 3 random cards to your hand
  • M’Baku – 1/2, if this is in your deck at the end of the game, it jumps to a random location
  • Attuma – 4/10, if you have another card here at the end of your turn, destroy this one
  • Orka – 6/9, +5 power if this is your only card here

pool 5

  • Bast – 1/1, On Reveal: Set the power of all cards in your hand to 3
  • Shuri – 4/1, double the power of the next card you play
  • Thanos – 6/8, at the start of the game, shuffle all six Infinity Stones into your deck
  • Galactus – 3/6, When Revealed: If this is your only card here, destroy all other locations
  • Valkyrie – 5/3, On Reveal: Set all cards in this location to 3 Power
  • Super Skrull – 4/2, Continuous: Has the Continuous effects of all enemy cards

If you have reached collection level 500, you will receive 3000 tokens at the start of the new season. If you’re at a higher level, you’ll get more to make up for what you missed along the way. This should be enough to buy several new cards from the Collector’s shop.
