The Facebook parent company hasn’t yet left the metaverse and now even Apple has joined the VR field. After the acquisition of Oculus VR headsets by Metas, the tech giant was good. With the already experienced VR headset hardware, Facebook’s software makes it even better. The next VR headset for Meta will be the Quest 3. A standard model of 128GB had initial approval and cost $499. A leak comes up on the Internet suggesting an idea to buy a new model.

Meta Quest 2 was pretty popular and therefore the hype for Quest 3 was pretty high. The Facebook-tiger company Meta announced the Quest 3 back in June 2023. Some of the features along with the starting price were revealed. We’ve already mentioned the top features of the Meta Quest, which you can try with here.

The Quest 3 comes with a redesign that slims down than the current version. This headset is also the most powerful, so you’ll get a good boost. For now, it also has pancake lenses instead of Fresnel lenses used in Quest 2.

When the new VR headset was launched, Meta said that the starting model was designed to cost $499 for 228GB of storage. At that time, however, the details were not revealed.

Incoming of MetaQuest 3 512 GB?

Suppose a VR developer, Luna shared a very interesting image on X, which was captured from a GameStop employee. It is actually a promotional card of Meta Quest 3 which states the date of publication of October 10 and reveals two SKUs priced between $500 and $650.

Full-named source at GameStop told me they got now and are going to be the first to announce the main launch of the new product.

The $500 variant is understandable. It costs 128GB, and was announced by Meta itself. For example, the second variant priced at $650 isn’t officially yet. Since the difference is $150, we don’t think that the storage will only be 256GB. Instead, it would just be worth the extra dollars if it’s 512GB of storage.

The previous model, Quest 2, is available in two storage options. 128GB for $300 and 256GB for 350 ($400 original). Hence, it would only be appropriate for 512GB to cost $150 more. The tech giant is revealing details immediately.
