In the past few months, rumors about a potential revival of Metal Gear Solid have been popular. The rumors are fueled by the producer of Konami, Noriaki Okamura, who pointed out that she had already made an announcement for 2023.
The rumor erupted on the publisher’s desire to sell three of its best-known brands in the form of Silent Hill, Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania.
As we know now, the rumor is a logical, at least for Silent Hill, as a small one in the series, as a few weeks ago Konami announced several new projects a day and a half while the latter is a remake of Silent Hill 2, which was developed in Poland by Bloober Team in development. If the actual indications are correct, then subsequent announcements could be made about the Metal Gear Solid franchise.

A remake of Metal Gear Solid 3 and more?
In the new years special of Japan’s Famitsu, Okamura said that the long-awaited announcement should be made in 2023. Okamura didn’t go into any more detail. Though he’s worked on several Metal Gear Solid titles in the past, he thinks, that Okamura may be referring to a return of the stealth action series.
In the past, the rumor persisted that in one or two of cases, a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was to be performed. The studio Virtuous has been offered to be discussiond as a developer. In addition, the well-known industry insiders noted in May last year that a remake of the original 1998 Metal Gear Solid is in development, too.
Since AccountNGT has always been right with its statements in the past, the true reason is the credibility of the insider. During the first hour, for example, he confirmed the ongoing work into Star Wars: Eclipse: the science fiction adventure, before the official announcement by Quantic Dream.
