The Xbox controller series has received another version, and this time it expands the Vapor Special Edition family. The newly announced member is the special edition of Edi Ash, a red-orange option. This release joins the Stormcloud Vapor, Dream Vapor and Nocturnal Vapor Xbox wireless controllers released over the past few years.

“Inspired by flames, each swirl of red and orange color is a manifestation of burning fire with a mesmerizing design that’s unique to each controller,” says Xbox Accessories senior product marketing manager Daniel Ruiz in today’s announcement. “With intense flashes of color, the Fire Vapor controller is guaranteed to add some heat to your gaming lineup.”

Like other Vapor Edition controllers, each Fire Vapor will feature a swirl pattern design on the faceplate and grips unique to each controller. The back and sides also feature red diamond pattern rubber grips to keep your hands steady during long gaming sessions.

All the features seen on a regular Xbox wireless controller are here too, like built-in wireless Xbox connectivity and Bluetooth connectivity for gaming on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PCs and mobile devices. A useful 3.5 mm audio jack for connecting headphones, buttons that can be changed through the Xbox Accessories app, a dedicated share button to capture moments quickly, and even a removable battery compartment are other advantages.

What’s more, connecting this controller to the Xbox Series X|S console will give players an exclusive dynamic red and orange swirl background inspired by the design of the new controller. This can be found under the console customization options in the settings in the dynamic backgrounds section.
