Microsoft is making additional and major cuts and layoffs in its gaming division. Today, IGN reported that in an email written by the company’s Xbox game studios, Matt Booty, the company has decided to close or merge several game development studios under Bethesda Softworks.

The email stated that Arcane Austin, maker of games like Prey and most recently Redfall, would be closing, with some team members moving on to other Bethesda projects. Tango Gameworks, creators of The Evil Within and Hi-Fi Rush, will also close.

Alpha Dog Studio, which released the mobile game Mighty Doom, will shut down and the gamer itself will shut down on August 7. Roundhouse Games will be merged with the ZeniMax Online Studios team. Finally, Booty stated that “a small number of positions in select Bethesda advertising teams and organizations will also be eliminated.”
