Mortal Kombat 1 is adding The Boys’ Homelander as its newest fighter on June 4

It took a while, but now Mortal Kombat 1 Players will soon be able to get the latest DLC character for the augmented fighting game in the near future. Homelander, the Superman-like superhero in Amazon Prime Video’s hit TV show the boysWill be available to add to the game starting Tuesday, June 4th.

Developer NetherRealm and publisher Warner Bros. Games Released a new game trailer Shows Homelander in action against some of the classic Mortal Kombat characters, including Katana and Sub-Zero. Homelander can punch, kick and throw fighters to the ground, but his best attack is his heat eyes.

The trailer gives us the first real chance to hear Homelander speak in-game. Unfortunately, he doesn’t sound at all like actor Anthony Starr, who plays Homelander on the boys’ TV show. Star wrote on social media that he will not voice his character Mortal Kombat 1 Appearance. Star did not reveal his reasons for not voicing the role in the game.

You can buy the Premium edition of the game to gain access to Homelander on June 4, along with the other five DLC players (Quan Chi, Ermac, Takeda, Omni-Man from Invincible and DC Comics’ Peacemaker). The trailer also showed Ferra as one of the game’s new fighting characters Kameo. He will make his game debut later in June.

In December 2023, NetherRealm head Ed Boone announced during an appearance at Brazil’s CCXP conference that Mortal Kombat 1 There will be a story-based DLC sequel sometime in the future, there has been no information on what the story-themed expansion will be, nor is there a specific date it will be released yet.

After the launch of the DLC expansion, Boon added that “we have a big surprise after that.” So far we don’t know what this surprise could be. It’s possible that NetherRealm could release more DLC fighters for the game after the story expansion pack.
