The festival was suspended due to the weather and the tragedy, although it was planned to open on Monday morning. According to Burning Man website, the festival is temporary capital of community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance. The six-day event was scheduled for August 27 to September 4 in the Black Rock Desert.
