Rumors have swirled over the Nintendo Direct for a couple of days now, and now we’re finally convinced. This morning, Nintendo announced via a tweet that a gamer in Direct will air Thursday, September 14 at 7:00 PDT/10:00 PDT/11:30 PM UTC.

Tune in on Sept. 14 at seven. I’m on the stage for a live stream of #NintendoDirect with approximately 40 minutes of information on #NintendoSwitch being released this winter.

According to that tweet, this Direct will run for approximately 40 minutes. This focuses mostly on games releasing this winter, which means that games are scheduled to happen between December 2023 and March 2024. We don’t know very much about Nintendo 2024 games currently. The big Ns have been quiet about the upcoming peach game.

What else will come up for Nintendo, the next few months are big. Super Mario Bros. Wonder drops on October 20, and Super Mario RPG Remake drops on November 17th. It’s been over a decade since we last got a new Super Mario Bros. RPG, a beloved game that will always bring much nostalgia to classic Nintendo fans.
