During the African Cup of Nations preparation, the players were sent to a doctor to test their age before the start of the squad. According to the Ghana Football Federation (FECAFOOT), three out of thirty football players failed to pass the test at once.

It is reported that the players were immediately pulled out from the national team.

The quest for players to replace them is already underway. Our federation invites all participants in the pedagogical process to ensure the age rights are respected, the press service said.

Later reports reported that after the world cup scandal, the 26-year-old goalkeeper Andre Onana turned down his career in the Cameroon national team.
