Number two of the world rankings Novak Djokovic reached the US Open semi-final.

At the quarterfinals the Serbian had to play with Taylor Fritz from the USA (a nixeen ATP).

This was the eighth time Djokovic has won all the matches. The Serbian played the thirteenth game during the American major, and gradually advancing.

According to this indicator he became the only one with victory over Roger Federer (46).

In the second round Novak will play against Francis Tiafoe (n. 10 ATP) or Ben Shelton (n. 47 ATP).

Note that Gael Monfils lost all of his 19 opponents to Djokovic.
