Paradox reconfirms its people simulator game Life by You will launch on June 4th in Early Access

Paradox Interactive is hoping for better luck with the launch of one of its most ambitious home games to date. Today, the game developer and publisher reconfirmed the previously announced date for its people simulator game life by you Will be released as an Early Access game on June 4th, via Steam and the Epic Games Store.

The game is developed by Paradox Tectonic and the head of its studio is Rod Humble, who previously led the development The Sims from Electronic Arts. Paradox tries to take part of the huge crowd The Sims With life by you.

Paradox emphasizes that the player will have almost complete control over the open world that is in the heart life by you. He states:

Players create their households, build their houses and tell the many stories of their lives. With natural language conversation and the ability to switch from third-person gameplay to direct control, players will connect with their characters on an emotional level. The game will come with deep Creator and Editor tools like Character Creator, Object Designer, Language Trees and more, all of which are available to players to MOD and adapt the game to fit their story.

The game was officially announced in March 2023 with an early launch planned for September 2023. However, Paradox then pushed back the game’s launch to March 2024. And earlier this year delayed the game again by three months to its current final date of June 4th. Paradox has not yet announced a new price for the game.

Paradox has had a tough time in recent months when it comes to launching games. The highly anticipated urban sim game Cities: Skylines II Developer Colossal Order suffered major performance issues when the PC version launched in October. Recently, refunds were issued to players who bought the game’s first paid DLC pack, and Paradox and Colossal Order have pledged to update the base game before launching more expansions.

Paradox also decided to part ways with developer Harebrained Schemes in October, after its game The Hottest League became a sales disappointment.
