Earlier today, it was revealed that Microsoft is closing several game development studios under its Bethesda Softworks division. They include Tango Gameworks, Alpha Dog Studios and Arkane Austin. This team released the vampire-themed shooter red fall A little over a year ago in May 2023.

Microsoft offered people who purchased the $100 red fall Bite Back Edition access to the Hero Pass which was supposed to add two new heroes to the game in a future DLC pack. The Hero Pass was also available separately as an additional $30 per game.

The post also says that buyers of Redfall Bite Back The Hero Pass edition and add-on will receive some sort of “credit” in the future. The post contains a Link to Bethesda support site, which currently says:

We are working to finalize the details for the Redfall credit program. This article will be updated as new information becomes available soon.

Today’s X post notes that while there won’t be any further updates for red fallIts multiplayer servers will “remain online for players to enjoy.”

red fall Received heavy pre-launch hype by Bethesda and Microsoft, but its release received mixed reviews from the press and low interest from gamers. Microsoft’s CEO of gaming, Phil Spencer, admitted that the release of red fall was a disappointment, adding that “there is nothing more difficult for me than to disappoint the Xbox community”.
