PlayStation confirmed that Insomniac Games plans on release Spider-Man 2 in Fall 2023, so we have less than a year to do the sequel.
In recent weeks, several teases suggested we’d be hearing about Spider-Man 2, before the end of the year, including some vague hints from the actors behind Miles Morales and Venom, the PlayStation Store listing for the game randomly being updated out of nowhere, and an Insomniac Games writer mentioning a window of fall 2023 for the game on his website.

In a new review published by PlayStation Today that lists a few of the big titles expected to release next year, PlayStation confirmed the new release date for Spider-Man 2. I don’t regret that we have yet to get any new information or footage. At least we know the game will remain going on for the next year.
In the post, “The Observer of Marvels Spider-Man 2, it lets kick things off with an exciting news release from the developer Insomniac Games which confirms the window for the web-slinging sequel. Marvels Spider-Man 2 launches in fall 2023, but much remains to be revealed about the game and to go on to new adventure and continue with new adventures.”
As well as the prank from PlayStation, the blog post includes a special message from Spider-Man 2’s creative director Brian Intihar. It reads, What a year a year the movie was for PlayStation Studios, and here, at Insomniac Games, we were so humble in our efforts. Congrats to everyone for a successful 2022. To next year being just as exciting as that as we will continue to get Marvels Spider-Man 2 ready for the autumn autumn edition.
While people head over to Google to find out when “Fall” is being called, it generally goes from September to November. It’s worth noting that this confirmation from PlayStation doesn’t guarantee Spider-Man 2 will be released then, because it could end up being delayed at a certain time. Even though PlayStation was really good at delivering Ragnarok in the year it promised, so we’ll just wait and see.
