The Pokemon TCG is a constantly changing and unpredictable market. In the past two years, we experienced a renewed interest in this hobby because of a variety of factors: the 25th anniversary, strong Sword & Shield-era sets featuring stunning Alternate Arts, influencers, box breaks, & the COVID-19 lockdown pushing people to pursue hobbies. For a moment, for example, the quick access to sets and cards quickly became difficult to find. Now that the hype is settled down, let’s see where modern sets stand. I will make an installment of this show, Pokemon TCG Value Watch, every month. This series isn’t a financial advice, but rather an idea to help collectors understand the underlying logic of the card’s availability so that Pokemon-tCG completionists like myself know when to strike.
