The Pokemon TCG Japan has started to teasing the next scarlet andamp; violet-era set. This new set is a roll-off version titled Raging Surf, which stars Tera Garchomp. It hit shelves on September 22 and includes 62 cards, not including Secret Rare cards. This expansion will continue what we see in Japan’s new set, Ruler of the Black Flame, in July, as well as introducing a new type of Tera-like tiger and resemble its usual type. One of the Tera Pokemon that we know will have an all-clearter typing number in this set will be Tera Garchomp ex. It’ll be a water-type, hence the nicknameRaging Surf. It has been confirmed that this set is part of Scarlet & Violet Paradox Rift, which is our English-languagePokemon TCG set for August 2023. On rumored that Scarlet and Violet Paradox Rift will also combine the cards from the forthcoming Japanese ex Starter Sets featuring Tera Mewtwo and Tera Skeledirge. However, we can’t confirm. Illustration Rares allow cards that aren’t suited to mechanics like Pokemon ex can be chased cards. The standard Yveltal card from this set is usually holo-rare, but now we get this exciting secret rare option in the latest edition as a rare illustration by photographer Tomii. Tomii depicts Yveltal kicking up the powerful vortex with its legendary wings. Tomii contributed to the Pokemon TCG sinceScarlet andamp; Violet Obsidian Flames where they produced a Smoliv and rare a Gloom illustration. This is their third repute in the hobby.
