While we’re still four months away from the launch of this year’s much-anticipated smartphone, the Apple iPhone 16 series, rumors about the devices are pouring in left, right and center. Recently, the mock-ups of the devices showed the key design elements of the entire series and the camera layout in the non-professional models.

Before that, another set of mockups (allegedly made for case makers) revealed the design and, more importantly, the dedicated camera shutter button rumored to be coming to the iPhone 16 models. Now, a new rumor out of China suggests that the standard iPhone 16 models will feature the same Color-infused back glass technology found on non-Pro iPhone 15 models.

For the first time in a smartphone, color is infused along the back glass, creating five beautiful colors. The back glass is strengthened with an optimized dual ion exchange process before polishing with nanocrystalline particles and etched to create a luxurious textured matte finish.

According to the leaker Digital fixed focus (via Weibo), who claims to have seen the iPhone 16 color scheme, Apple will use the same color-embedded back glass on the new standard iPhone 16 models for a milky effect that contrasts with the main color of the device. Fixed Focus Digital is the same leaker who announced that Apple could launch the iPhone 16 Up to seven color options Unlike five color options for the iPhone 15.

The main point here is that the leaker did not mention the color-embedded back glass technology used in the Pro models of the iPhone 16. These leaks come from a source that has yet to establish a track record for Apple devices. So, we suggest you take the information with a huge grain of salt.
