Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor will be able to communicate satellites by phone

Published on

About six months before Apple officially announced its iPhone 14 handsets, there were rumors that the manufacturer plans to use satellite communications on new gadgets.

Of course this seemed a cool solution, because the technology is interesting and worthy of attention, but in reality it turns out that the gadget can easily send a distress signal and nothing more. We have lots more productive hardware, and an antennae.

That is not clear; Qualcomm has found partners with whom to support the two-way messaging based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor in new smartphones.

Currently, these are only plans for the future, and this is too early to talk about that technology. You should understand that when users don’t generally exchange text messages now everybody communicates via instant messengers, social networks and software special software.

Consequently, while the technology is going to allow you to connect comfortably with other users, it’s not worth talking about any serious changes on the market yet. It’ll take longer and more years for us to understand the future of cellular communication. Just consider that for this you must introduce many satellites to orbit before the next phase of work and then configure them so that they work in constant and do not fail, turning into space debris.
