Marvels Spider-Man 2 is ready to defend the status of the Insomniac Games as one of the best for PlayStation Games, in my case it’s really my favorite thing. I loved their quest for interactive Pixar animations since the first of the DS2, and had plenty of hearts and soul to win over the players. I was one of those who discovered Insomniac on the PS2, with the adventures of Ratchet and Clank, but this studio was a special talent and only on the PS3 with the Resistance and Ratchet and Clank Future trilogies.
With a world of incredible video games, the scale is greater than the 2018 title. The idea that Marvels Spider-Man 2 will become much faster is an idea that ignites equal enthusiasm. If you’re part of a group of people who enjoy PlayStations cinematic experiences and are pleased with their transition to the open world in games like Marvels Spider-Man, then you’re sure looking forward to the sequel.
In this sequel, Insomniac tries to go further, present familiar concepts on a new scale, and as far as to achieve this goal, this talented company may’ve embraced a challenge closely related to this responsibility: creating one of the best games on PS5 and perhaps one of the best games available from the PlayStation Studios.
We think that a game that uses the features of the PlayStation 5 can achieve this.
The Marvel-Remastered film, The Marvel-Remastered film The Miles Morales and Clank: A Dimension Apart have already shown why Insomniac deserves all our trust, especially in the visual component. The latest, modern, and authentic movie is a real one in real time, made up of unbelievable visuals that will turn your mind into a huge player in the world. The Spider-Man game – like the classic, shows you that talent in good visuals in a large world.
Marvels Spider-Man 2 will be released on PlayStation 5 just like the Ratchet game, which allows us to imagine better graphics that Miles Morales does. That in itself is exciting and even though the open world takes you back to Manhattan, you have new locations such as Brooklyn and Queens to help differentiate and a show performed from scratch for PS5 is possible.

I would like to add that recently, at the invitation of PlayStation Portugal, I played two hours of Marvels Spider-Man 2 and watched video-promotional scenes that will amaze anyone. Think about those cutscenes with incredible details and the open world aka the great HDR, which took it to a new level and he wondered if this game will be a PlayStation 5 reference.

Insomniac Games has already shown us how to use the PlayStation 5’s SSD for incredibly fast loading times, whether in Marvels Spider-Man Remastered or Miles Morales. The likes of Ratchet and Clank: A Dimension Apart proved how this can go above loading speed and be used for gameplay.
We don’t know whether Insomniac Games will repeat the feat in Marvels Spider-Man 2, but from what we have seen already, the possibility of switching almost seamlessly between Miles and Peter is very exciting. Insomniac showed gameplay where you’re playing with Peter and within a few seconds you’re playing with Miles, with your choice activated.
After 2 hours, we acted on an invitation to PlayStation Portugal. We learned to play the game perfectly. It also allowed us to play the exciting slice; we simply forgot that there were loading times in the games. After many examples, this may be a good idea to take their ingenious use for granted. So just remember the previous generation to appreciate the role of SSDs in the latest consoles.
Since the first contact with Astro Bot in December, 2020, I have become a fan of dualsense and the possibilities of it. Miles Morales was the first player I played on a PS5 and it gave positive signals to the latest PlayStation controllers. With haptic feedback or with adaptive triggers, Dualsense lets you experience more dynamic games.
It was my first experiment with the game, when the controller used dynamic triggers, a dynamism which has made me feel the vibration dispersed by the control, based on the situation. The dualsenses L2 and R2 triggers are extremely clever and fun uses. For example, for Returnal, if each weapon uses different types of weapons with different buttons pressed with different intensities, and for other uses that benefit from returningal.
Marvels Spider-Man 2 uses it for all mini-games and sections, like interacting with electronic panels that you need to calibrate by pressing L2 and R2, but with different intensities. But it also uses haptic feedback so you feel each swing from web to web. It could also make a difference and make more immersion.
Okay, it might be far-fetched to say that Marvels Spider-Man 2 is going to be a reference in terms of the use of audio on the PS5, at least in the context of a game that stands above the rest. However, it is ready to become one of the best examples of 3D audio on PS5. The Ratchet and Clank: A Dimension Apart works in 3D sound, particularly if it is conveying the sensation of verticality in the sound, to better differentiate the position of enemies.
Marvels Spider-Man 2 is continuing its journey in pursuit of increased diversity in the city – no matter whether it be in combat or swinging from web to web. While fighting, you will be able to hear enemies behind your back without even thinking about directing attacks, and when walking through the various areas of the map, you will be able to hear the wind currents that convey the energy that this sounds into your living city and make you feel like living.
