Star Wars Jedi: Survival Soon to be part of the EA Play subscription service from Electronic Arts. The Respawn Entertainment-developed action game released in April, 2023, and just in time for its birthday, EA is removing it from the higher-tier EA Play Pro memberships and also adding it to the base version of its game subscription program. The good news also comes to Xbox Game Pass members.

Anyone with a basic subscription to EA Play on PC, Xbox Series X|S or PlayStation 5 will be able to jump into the shoes of Jedi Cal Kestis starting April 25th. Don’t forget that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and Microsoft’s PC Game Pass subscription also offer EA Play at no extra cost, meaning those members get access to it too Jedi: Survival on the same date.

Takes place five years after the events of 2019 Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the title has Kal, his friend BD-1, and the space crew forced by the Empire to flee to the edge of the galaxy. Now a Jedi Knight, Cal’s abilities have also increased since the last adventure, with fresh Force abilities and Lightsaber fighting styles available to players.

The title launched to some controversy due to major performance issues, but Respawn has been providing updates since launch to improve the situation. Hopefully new players jumping in will have a better experience than at launch.

EA said it plans to bring Jedi: Survival Also for the last generation consoles, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 systems, sometime in the future, but a release date has not materialized yet. If the game does come to these platforms, it should also be included in the base tier of EA Play, just like on current generation consoles.

The AAA title comes to EA Play just as the subscription plan undergoes its first price hike. The changes vary by region, but both the EA Play base and pro tiers, across the monthly and annual membership options, have been hit with higher prices. Go here to read the full details.
