Stardew Valley 1.5 mobile update was long-awaited, but it took a further one week

We need one more week to ensure quality.

Since many ofStardew Valley platforms have been enjoying the update 1.5 for a long time, the mobile edition still needs one final push. It would have been like that at the end of the year, but new tweets from Eric ConcernedApe Barone show the final deadline for this patch.

Here’s the complete context from the tweet:

Our team and I have been working extremely hard this past week on the 1.5 update. We were very close. We could likely release yet. But we have to do more than one week to guarantee quality. I assume full responsibility for the failure of a year to reach the end year target.

It helps that game is basically everywhere, with the option to play that.

That said, it’s admirable to see Barone take responsibility, even if it’s not needed. There was a masterclass on transparency and communication, and developers can choose to treat their fans in a nonsense rush, particularly given how Stardew basically gives everything for free.

My team has been working on the 1.5 update for a very long time this past week. We’re close. We could probably go away now. But we needed one more week to get quality. I take a fully responsible note that I don’t have the year’s target.
