Techland added microtransactions to Dying Light 2 in order to replace light bulbs

Techland released the update 1.12 for Dying Light 2: Stay Human which is a full microtransaction tool. Dying Light 2 came out in February 2022, so it took Techland over a year to add microtransactions to this.

This is a huge disappointment for many Dying Light fans. We should not forget that Tencent recently acquired Techland, so we don’t know if that’s related to this predatory monetization tactics.

The game has Mixed Reviews on Steam, though its overall status is still mostly positive. And yeah, this sucks at the same time, since many PC gamers supported Dying Light games.

Techland currently gives free 500 DL Points for players to redeem by the 7th of October. In fact, it seems that most of the items that you can buy online cost more than 500 DL Points. This free point can help you get what you need.

Regardless of these microtransactions, patch 1,12.12 for Dying Light 2 adds to a Brutality level. Nevertheless, players can now choose between full, limited and minimal brutality in the Preferences.

The Dying Light 2 patch 1.12 comes with several games and co-op fixes. And it brings some technical fixes, UI tweaks and fixes some glitches.

This update contains the full version of the changelog.
