Tesla sets company record with 405,000 vehicle deliveries in Q4 2022

Even though Tesla’s stock issues were correlated to investor concerns over Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter and his repeated stock selloffs, the EV maker experienced a solid quarter with regard to vehicle deliveries and manufacturing.

The Musk-owned company announced it delivered 405,000 cars in Q4 2022. In comparison, the EV maker delivered 308,600 cars in the same time period in 2021. However, this figure remains under Wall Street estimates of 431,117, according to Refinitiv data (via Reuters).

Here is a breakdown of Tesla deliveries worldwide:

338,131 for model 3/Y: 388,131. Models S and X: 17 – 14 – 7 – 17 – 14 – 17 – 147 – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – –

In total, Tesla produced 439 701 vehicles in the fourth quarter, with 308 600 coming to the market. The production and delivery of a Tesla for 2021 global figure are between 369,611 and 313,851 respectively.

While Tesla records manufacturing, it doesn’t seem that the EV maker has addressed its car quality problems. Critics have slammed Tesla, especially the Model 3, for years regarding paint issues and gaps in the panels, among others.

In other Tesla reports, it remains unclear when the new new technology called Cybertruck will be used in mass production, even though the latest reports say late 2023.
