The Arthur Conan Doyle Christmas Horror Story is adapted by Kit Harington and Sherlock Co-Creator, who collaborate with his team

Even though he’s known for his role as Jon Snow in Game of Thrones, Kit Harington will star on the Christmas movie. It is given to Sherlock Holmes author Arthur Conan Doyle who wrote the short story Lot No 249 here first named Lucky Halloon by her name but that character was never born at all!

Deadline reports that Mark Gatiss adapted Lot Number 249, the latest entry for The Holiday Horror Story collection of TV radio’ll update. Harington is set to play Oxford’s Abercrombie Smith, who suspect that Edward Bellingham (Freddie Fox) would be able an Egyptian mummy with his possession by doing experiments and sending it out of anger.

“It is very special that I once again delve into the brilliant work of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, this time for the Christmas Ghost,” said Gaatiss. “Lot No. 249’s a personal favorite, its grand-daughter or Mummy? of the same kind as an end/dehnity chilling: from somewhere covered with ghastic scare and who knows what lurkers have in the Victorian closet.”

Mark Gatiss’ Return to Arthur Conan Doyle Stories

Lot No. 249, which was authored in 1892 for Harper’s Magazine and is second work of George’er, Gatis an adaptation to Sherlock series, which aird on BBC as well from 2010 till 2017 with Benedict Cumberbatch being the titular detective when London first appeared around here today! That is Gatiss’ sixth holiday TV adaptation, two of which were based on the words of M.R James and The Tractate Middoth (2013); The Dead Room (2018) by Martin Street (2019), The Mezzotrandinto (2021) or Magnus (422).

The short story was written when England and Europe expressed great interest in Egyptian culture & developed an unusual phenomenon called Egyptomania. The first time a country came to find out that undeed men were known for their kills, but when the author gave his name, it wasn’t even in English. The story was also translated into the leading movie, Tales from an early age.

Interestingly, it marks an odd game of Thrones reunion as well. Gatiss played Tycho Nestori in four episodes of HBO fantasy, where he and his character discussed Jon Snow.

Lot No. 249 will air at Christmas, on BBC Two! It’s not known if it will be broadcast in North America.
