Google Chromecast 4K has largely remained the same for the first time since it was released in 2020.
Fortunately, the latest Android TV 14 beta shows a new chromecast on the way.
As shared by 9to5Google, it analyzed the beta and found a video showing a new Chromecast remote with a design that looks completely identical to the actual one, but with a few noticeable differences.
The new remote design, that is only shown in the video, has a few changes to the button layout. On the right side is a small button with a shape suggesting it’s a volume rocker. There are two round buttons under the navigation pad, which are likely for back and assistant. On the left side, there are three different buttons, either for home, mute, or for app shortcuts.
There seems also a new star-shaped button. According to 9to5Google, the button is labelled magic in the application. The publication suggests that it can’t be used as a shortcut.
When will Google release the new Chromecast on Google TV? For that matter, we hope that we can see what that is about. There are some rumors regarding the new Chromecast since January this year. Read more about it here.
