The Marvels Spider-Man 2 NYC won’t have Chrysler Building because of copyright issues

Published on

Marvels Spider-Man 2 is more big than its predecessors, with developer Insomniac confirming the upcoming New York City sequels open world will be about twice the size of the two previous entries. New neighborhoods have been added, such as Queens (where Aunt Mays will be visited) and Brooklyn (where also there will be an option for the Brooklyn or Coney Islands), although one of the notable New York City landmarks is missing from the game.

Insomniac confirmed to The New York Times that Chrysler building won’t be featured in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, because the developer couldn’t reach a deal with the building owners. The skyscraper was present in the open world of the original 2018 game, but it wasn’t released from 20s Marvels Spider-Man: Miles Morales because of the same issue.

In addition, beautiful new screenshots have also been released for New York City in Marvels Spider-Man 2.

Marvels Spider-Man 2 will come to the theater on October 20th.
