The Memes From His Movie Roles Confront Nicolas Cage With ‘Frustrations’

The actor admitted that he felt frustrated by his various movie roles due to the internet memes. He said that it was “a change” seeing his characters being used as an outlet of viral hated drama and publicity at work only allowed for him, but still accepted such accusations with no intention whatsoever…

In an interview with The Guardian, which featured a movie called Dream Scenario, Cage talked about becoming one of the memes. He explained that, during first sightings of people taking photos and videos from X/Twitter to Reddit his actions struggle.

“I might have been the first actor who got through a sort of meme-ification,” said Cage, reflecting on his career in this sport. One person cherrypicked from all these different movies where I had my meltdown, but without any regard for how the character came to that place. I wasn’t prepared because people did not know anything about the movie other than that.

“I didn’t know how to process what was happening. I was a stage man because of film performance in the best way. I didn’t get into movies to become a meme. It was new. I’ve made friends with him, but it was an adjustment,” said Cage. “I thought they would compel someone to come back and examine the movies. But I didn’t control it.”

Over the years, Cage has a diverse mix of characters throughout his career. Many have become meme-like awards because it is called expressionistic acting and bigger than life’s performance levels? But his role as an American yuppie in the 1988 horror movie Vampire’s Kiss was probably necessary.

His outrageous performance and a meme-soaked reputation proved to Cage that his absurd performances were not part of him’s charm but also caused many funny songs such as “not the bee” from 2006’ The Wicker Man, and the recent “Cage by Pedro” image from 2022.

Cage likened his “memes-ification” as the experiences of Paul, who finds he living turned upside down when it appears in foreigner dreams only so that they take their nightmarish turns; with all this fact being mentioned: “He lacks control over this unexplicable phenomenon”.

Dream Scenario is on Nov. 10, and you don’t want to sleep with this movie yet whose critics score 92% for Rotten Tomatoe “not far from it” behind the story, but its own review called it a “great or powerful cringy comedy” in social media history as well.”
