The cyberpunk 2077s massive update 2.0 this week has changed gameplay mechanics and introduced key quality-of-life improvements necessary for the title on Sept. 26. Some fans would like CD Projekt Reds for the other addition to the game a tribute to critically acclaimed anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

The anime starts in the same universe and city as Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red has already paid tribute to it several times. The 2.0 update addition is more emotional than ever. Players can find a tribute to the cast’s principal character. In the animated film Edgerunners, the memorials were addressed and written by Lucy.

Cyberpunk 2077 directly ties the Edgerunners, and, as I said, there are a few tributes CDPR left for avid fans to discover. For example, players could hunt for the jacket of David Martinez, the central character in the Edgerunners. A drink named after him can be bought at the Afterlife, where legends of Night City are immortalized in traditional alcoholic recipes.

CD Projekt Red has shown that it’s keen to get into contact with their opponents. Seeing as they done that on many occasions, it’s unreasonable to think they might add something more with the Phantom Liberty expansion.

DLC should be huge, with new characters and places of interest entering a whole new cast of characters. Perhaps in this new wave of content, CDPR left a couple of treats for the fans of the show, but it shouldn’t wait for us to see it.

Nights are the city of dreams, legends, and secrets. In the gloomy street and nexus, developers are re-locating more clues and callbacks with the player constantly finding them. Who knows what else is hidden while running Cyberpunk 2077?
