Only hardcore Pokemon Trainers have a chance to beat these Raids, and that’s never exactly the case in the Mewtwo Raid. I can’t fight this. It’s borderline unfair! Most Raids can be tackled with Pokemon, but this is an obvious choice for this Raid. Mew. Mew gets a huge stat boost in this fight and is absolutely the best-looking counter to Mewtwo. If you’ve got mew yet, don’t despair. Let’s help you pick it up. I will explain the building in just a moment. But here’s what Mewtwo brings to the table: the redevelopment:

To make matters worse, Mewtwo will Rest when you break the Terastalization phase. If you want to win the battle, you have to stop this. Here is the Moveset that we’ve recommended for mew.

- Swords Dance
- Leech Life
- Struggle Bug
Struggle Bug is an awesome move that puts damage at the opponent’s hands and lowers the special damage. The fight begins with the words “Swords Dance”. Through these two levels of skill, till you can terastalize.
Use Sword Dance to maximize your Attack while you are sterastalized. If Mewtwo is using Calm Mind, try Counter with Struggle Bug. After two of the two phrases was used, start trying to kill Lich Life. Keep on with the Mewtwo shield, as well as using the Electric Terrain to avoid having it break up. Mewtwo will rest if it breaks, but doesn’t help it with Electric Terrain. If you make it to this point, youre on the final straight and you should be able to spam Leech Life by mistake.
Even if everything goes right away, time is very long, so don’t worry if you’ll finish the battle on your first visit. If Mew is about to get knocked out, don’t do the ‘cheer’ in the early stages of the battle.

Unfortunately, Mewtwo is an oppressive opponent that has to do with a team. You could have the perfect Mew and all the luck in Paldea, but Mewtwo is all so powerful. Do not squeet with Trainers you know, you must lose this event a few times. Take care of it, keep hopes for reliable teammates, and Mewtwo will be yours before you know it.
